"Shujaa" means "hero" in Swahili.

This short, animated film follows Chiku, a young Black woman who inherits a mysterious bracelet from her grandmother, Bibi. For years, she wears it without understanding its purpose—until the quiet loss of a close friend awakens something within her.

As Chiku chooses to become a blood donor, the bracelet—and her legacy—comes to life.

The Shujaa Bracelet
In the film, the bracelet glows when Chiku donates — a symbol of the power we each carry to save lives. The Shujaa Bracelet also exists in real life as a limited-edition item for people who take action by registering or donating blood.
